Required Maintenance Information

Your step is brand new and may experience some stiffness when opening and closing. It has been well lubricated and with occasional use, gradually will perform smoothly. It is essential to maintain lubricating on a regular basis especially during the use of brine or dusty conditions on the road.  A silicone or a good quality water displacement lubricate spray should be used if stiffness occurs. Using 3 in 1 oil also works as a good long term option.  The lubricant should be placed in the hinge holes and gaps and allowed to flow downward by placing the step on its side.  Working the step back and forth will achieve a uniform coating.
